If you live in the counties of Adair, Cherokee, Delaware, McIntosh, Muskogee or Sequoyah you are eligible for a free library card.

Simply visit your local EODLS library and bring with you proof of address (example: driver’s license, mail, bill) to register.

Children of any age are welcome to have a card. However, those under the age of 18, must bring a parent to sign the application and review internet usage guidelines.

EODLS serves library patrons in Adair, Cherokee, Delaware, McIntosh, Muskogee and Sequoyah counties. You can use your library card at any of the 15 branches throughout the system.

Find your library

A total of 25 items may be checked out at one time. Of those items, 3 may be DVDs, 3 may be Video Games and 12 may be Audiobooks.

Patrons may not check out materials if they have any unpaid fees or overdue items.

Most library materials check out for 21 days. This includes books, audiobooks and magazines. DVDs are high demand items and check out for 3 days. Video games and other non-traditional items check out for 7 days.

You may renew items twice, either by phone, in person or online in My Account. Items cannot be renewed if a hold is placed on the title by another patron.

Overdue DVDs and video games will incur a late fee of $1 a day. Patrons may not check out materials if they have any unpaid fees or overdue items.

You may return library materials to any of the 15 branches in the system.

Visit your library to get a new card. There is a $1.00 replacement fee. Or choose to purchase a key chain card for $1.00.

Students who live on campus or a town served by EODLS are eligible for a free library card.

Visit an EODLS library and bring with you proof of address (example: driver’s license, mail, bill) and your student ID to register.

Citizens who pay ad valorem taxes in one of the EODLS counties, but live in another county qualify for a free library card. Visit an EODLS library and bring a copy of county tax assessor bill to register.

People who do not live or own property in any of the System's six counties are considered non-residents and must pay $10 for a library card.

Additional Library Services

Computers with Internet access are available at each of the branch libraries. Library card holders are allowed 2 one-hour sessions each day. Children under 18 may be allowed Internet access with the approval of a parent or guardian. Visitors may request a Guest Pass at the service desk. Guests are permitted one pass per day.

  • We offer free wireless Internet access at all 15 branches.
    Interlibrary Loan (ILL) connects patrons with libraries nationwide to borrow books and materials that EODLS does not own. Request and receive ILL materials at your local library.

    Tahlequah Public Library is excited to offer 3D printing to our patrons. By offering 3D printing, we are inviting you to discover your most creative self by learning how to design objects.

    Several EODLS branches have non-traditional collections available for in-house use or checkout. Ask about non-traditional collections are your local library.

    When we’re not using the library’s meeting rooms for public events and internal meetings, we’re happy to share with others. Meeting space varies at each library. Review the meeting room policy below then contact your local library for room details and availability.
