Librarian I – Youth – Grove Public Library

Successful candidate will provide a high level of customer service to all library users.

Full-time Position: 40 hrs. per week, includes some evenings and Saturdays. Salary dependent on level of experience and library education, starting at $33,634 plus excellent benefits.

Qualifications: MLS/MLIS or Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND 1 to 3 years of relevant experience developing library programs for children and teens. Prefer demonstrated supervisory experience and quality computer skills.

Duties may grow to include managing the library building, staff, and collection using professional principles of the library field. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

Part-time Position: 15-18 hours per week, includes some Saturdays. $10.50 per hour.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Computer experience required including social media. Library experience preferred. Experience working with the public.

Duties include processing new books, circulating material on the automated system, shelving books, technology assistance and helping patrons of all ages.
