Assistant Director – Support Services, Eastern Oklahoma District Library System

Assists in directing strategic and system-wide planning for marketing, staffing and technology services.

Full-time Position: 40 hrs. per week, beginning salary $57,600. Excellent benefits, negotiable relocation assistance available.

Qualifications: MLS/MLIS and five or more years’ public library administration experience.

Create and oversees the System’s digital presence. Collection Development assistance for all branches, especially E-material collection. Oversees the IT dept. and administers the E-rate program with the assistance of our consultants. Other duties may include developing a Marketing plan for the System, and assisting in hiring and training staff in 15 branches.

Librarian II – Reference – Muskogee Public Library

Successful candidate will provide a high level of customer service to all library users.

Full-time Position: 40 hrs. per week, includes some evenings and Saturdays. Salary dependant on level of experience and library education, starting at $37,128 plus excellent benefits.

Qualifications: MLS/MLIS or Master’s degree in a related field AND 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Experience developing library programs. Prefer demonstrated performance in a management position including supervisory experience and quality computer skills.

Duties include managing the library building, staff, and collection using professional principles of the library field. Manager will oversee the successful long term and daily operation of the reference department. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

Temporary Library Clerk – Muskogee Public Library

Full-time Position: Seasonal help to work May 29, 2018 through August 2, 2018; 40 hours per week. $10.00 an hour.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Have a combination of educational competencies and experience in computer technology. Library experience preferred as well as experience working with the public. Computer programming experience and post secondary education is preferred.

Clerk will assist with youth summer technology camp. Provide tech support for computer operations, computer training, and desktop publishing.

Part-time Position: 15 to 18 hours per week, includes some evenings and Saturdays. $10.50 per hour

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Computer experience is required, social media experience preferred. Library experience preferred as well as experience working with the public.

Duties include: processing new material, circulating material on the automated system, shelving and assisting patrons. Clerk will assist with programming and answer reference questions.
